Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 block Frozen Tofu Choose firm or extra-firm tofu for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Oil for Frying Use a high smoke point oil like avocado oil or canola oil.
  • to taste Sweet Chili Sauce Optional; adds sweetness and spice.
Optional Add-ins
  • 1-2 cups Vegetables & Protein for Stir Fry Customize with bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, or chickpeas.

Preparation
  1. Thaw the Frozen Tofu: Place the frozen tofu in its packaging in the fridge for a few days to thaw or submerge it in room-temperature water for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Prepare the Tofu: Press out excess water from the thawed tofu, wrap it in a kitchen towel, and place a heavy object on top for 15-20 minutes. Cut into slightly larger-than-bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. Pan Frying Method: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick skillet over high heat. Add tofu pieces and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Air Frying Method: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Brush tofu with oil and arrange in a single layer. Cook for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Flavoring
  1. Once crispy, toss the tofu in a sauce of your choice, or add it to stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or pan for the best results.
