Preparation
- Thaw the Frozen Tofu: Place the frozen tofu in its packaging in the fridge for a few days to thaw or submerge it in room-temperature water for 3 to 4 hours.
- Prepare the Tofu: Press out excess water from the thawed tofu, wrap it in a kitchen towel, and place a heavy object on top for 15-20 minutes. Cut into slightly larger-than-bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
- Pan Frying Method: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick skillet over high heat. Add tofu pieces and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Air Frying Method: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Brush tofu with oil and arrange in a single layer. Cook for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Flavoring
- Once crispy, toss the tofu in a sauce of your choice, or add it to stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or pan for the best results.
