Coffee Base
  • 3 Tbsp Thai coffee powder Look for a dark roast that typically blends traditional Thai coffee beans and chicory.
  • 3/4 cup off-the-boil water Allow the water to cool slightly after boiling to preserve the coffee's flavor.
Mixing Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk Brands like Nestle or Eagle Brand work well.
  • 2 tsp sugar Adjust based on your sweetness preference.
  • Pinch salt Enhances flavor, creating a more balanced taste.
  • A lot of ice Fill your serving glass generously for a refreshing experience.
  • 2-3 Tbsp evaporated milk Add more or less depending on your preference.

Method
 

Brew the Coffee
  1. Combine the Thai coffee powder with off-the-boil water in your chosen brewing vessel. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
Mix the Base
  1. In a separate mixing glass, combine sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Strain and Combine
  1. After the coffee has steeped, filter it through your chosen method to remove the grounds. Pour the brewed coffee into the mixing glass with the condensed milk mixture and stir well.
Taste Test
  1. Taste the coffee and adjust sweetness or creaminess according to preference.
Serve Over Ice
  1. Fill a 16 oz serving glass with ice and pour the prepared coffee mixture over it.
Finish with Evaporated Milk
  1. Drizzle evaporated milk on top and stir gently.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, try coconut or almond milk. Don’t leave the coffee to steep longer than 5 minutes to avoid bitterness.
